This is the part I hate but the one everyone wants to know. Many factors go into the cost of a customized and freshly-made cake.
Pricing is mostly contingent on the time and skillset required to produce your desired design, extra tools needed, embellishments or flowers, size, and ingredients.
Often forgotten expenses include: overhead, utilities, kosher certification, cleaning assistance, shopping and communication time, gas, maintenance, supplies, and much, much more. Over the past two years, I have gone through five (yes, FIVE!) edible printers. For these reasons, I no longer offer "basic" or "cheap" cakes.
